How It All Started

RJean Essentials began with a spark of inspiration during a weeklong stay in Williamsburg, Virginia. While there, I took a class on how to make homemade body and foot scrubs, and I was instantly captivated. As soon as the class ended, I headed straight to the store, gathered everything I needed, and spent the season creating scrubs as Christmas gifts for the women in my family. They loved them, and their excitement encouraged me to keep going.

Around the same time, a close friend introduced me to essential oils, and I soon became a Wellness Advocate. Learning about the benefits of these oils deepened my passion for natural self‑care and inspired me to incorporate them into my creations.

My sister eventually convinced me to sell my scrubs at a craft show and community yard sale. I sold far more than I expected, and that moment marked the true beginning of RJean Essentials. From scrubs to soaps and everything in between, the business has grown steadily ever since.

 

Crafting all‑natural, homemade bath and body products brings me so much joy. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone smile when they smell one of my blends or hearing that they’ve returned as a loyal customer. Those moments remind me why I started—and why I continue.
